MEET MIREN
Miren Oca is an entrepreneur, speaker, and changemaker who proves business can be a force for good.
Over 30 years ago, as a young single mother in Miami, she began teaching swim lessons in backyard pools. That act of resilience grew into Ocaquatics Swim School—now a nationally recognized company delivering millions of lessons focused on water safety and confidence.
Under her leadership, Ocaquatics became the world’s first swim school to earn B Corporation certification and, in 2024, transitioned to 100% employee ownership—living proof that shared success builds stronger businesses and communities.
Miren is also the founder of Ripples of Impact, a nonprofit empowering youth, promoting sustainability, and strengthening communities through education and action.
Known for her authenticity and values-driven leadership, she brings decades of real-world experience to the stage, inspiring leaders, employee-owners, and mission-driven teams to lead with purpose, challenge the status quo, and create ripples of impact that last.
